Hello there - it’s so nice to have you here! This very first blog post is intended to share more about my training, coaching style, and passion so you can understand how invested I am in your success.
First of all, I don’t take it lightly that you’re here, giving me your attention, when I’m sure you’re being pulled in so many directions. This must mean that you’ve got a feeling that this is your time to really connect and make yourself a priority. You are worthy of this radical act - putting yourself high on that list of ‘to manage’. I will teach you how to give that voice in your head (you know, the one way out there in the back saying you deserve this care) a front row seat to your decision input. This is your intuition, your gut, your little self. It’s time to tend to that voice. But, I’m getting ahead of myself…
I’m Lindsay, and I’m in the very middle of my life’s journey. I’m a mama of 2 teenagers, wife to a small business owner and daughter of 4 loving parents. I am a walking, talking, honest to god Paradox - I love vegetables and cheeseburgers, rest and busy days, restorative yoga and HIIT workouts, mountains and the ocean. I can be the calm in the storm and the storm itself. I see the wisdom of all of the angles when I listen with curiosity instead of judgment.
I feel this is my dharma - to share my journey to balance through the ways of my personal missteps learnings.
I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia - where I can get to mountains or water anytime I hear them call.
Back in 2022, I went to the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY for a Women’s Leadership Conference. This was my first intentional step into a path of finding my calling. I was 38. I had been wrestling with the state of women’s health and especially the state of the woman’s voice in our country. I was concerned for any demographic that wasn’t considered superior. At Omega, I joined a cohort of women who had similar concerns and wanted to learn from each other how we could support our groups through grassroots movements. Lo and behold, we learned that we were useless if we didn’t start our own healing and use that fire to ignite our passions for our cause. We have to understand our traumas (Big T and little t), work on our patterns through self-awareness, and do power differently so that we can truly make change happen.
At the end of the conference, I wrote myself a letter that was sent to me one year later. I have’t opened it yet. But I carry it with me every time we go on vacation, thinking, maybe this time I will get up the nerve to face my past aspirations. I think I’m close…
Since returning from Rhinebeck, I’ve invested my time into research. I’ve been a wrecking ball of reading, learning, and getting certified. I devoured Dr. Brene Brown’s podcast Unlocking Us, and settled into so many inspirational reads by authors like Martha Beck, Tarana Burke, Glennon Doyle, Michelle Obama, to name a few. I got my Personal Training Certificate from NASM in 2023. I had always been a yogi, so I got my Yoga Teacher Certificate through my local studio, Santosha Yoga, in 2024. Then, I met an incredible teacher at the studio that ran an Ayurveda School, The Shakti School, and got my Ayurveda Wellness Coach Certificate in 2026 (and am in the process of Level 2 for Ayurveda Wellness Consultant, 2027). I’ve gotten certified in Barre, EverFlexed (Barre Above), and my personal favorite, Menopause 2.0 from Dr. Stacy Sims. This is where I found my passion for women’s health.
I landed where I am today because I heard at that Conference that my intuitive voice was the only voice that mattered. And I was to give it the respect that it (I) deserved. And that voice was telling me to be a safe space for women to learn just how intuitive and strong they really are.
And so here I am, asking you to listen to that voice. It’s the one that says ‘this doesn’t feel quite right’ or ‘I think I could be good at that’ or ‘I deserve better’. The work starts with awareness of your current state physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, chemically. Tuning in and then becoming an advocate for your self by making the next right choice towards your health. And that next right choice just might be asking for help. If you grew up anything like me, you weren’t raised to listen to your body’s signals and messages as wisdom. And if you were, then maybe you weren’t shown the many ways to address those feelings in a way that didn’t put you out of balance in other ways.
I am here to help you understand why something is happening, not just how to ‘fix’ it. Your health journey requires healing not just the symptom but also the root cause. You are unique (n of 1) and through knowing your tendencies, your symptoms, and your reactions to your experiences (food, exercise, travel, relationships, familial history) we can clear a path to wellness. There is a time and place for rest just like there is a time and place for pushing yourself. I will help you learn to listen to your inner wisdom to learn when to do which. I want you to drink your coffee and not feel sluggish at 3p; and I want you to be able to pick up your children and grandchildren without worrying about falling; and I want you to be able to exist in a world full of stressors without letting it take you down. I want you to find your joy and to feel like you deserve it.
You’re stronger than you think. Now it’s time for you to believe that.
I’m happy to do a 30 minute discovery call to share how we would work together based on your goals and current symptoms. I always work off of three pillars - nutrition/food habits, stress management, and lifestyle.
Send me your inquiry below to get started! I look forward to working with you.
With gratitude,
Lindsay
